August 6th, 2013
Starbucks Refreshment Destination, an exclusive kiosk serving cold products, recently opened on the beach at the Caribe Hilton, as the only Starbucks in the world serving their clients on the sand.
"We keep adding firsts at our property,” said Jose Campo, general manager, Caribe Hilton. “Caribe Hilton was the first Hilton International hotel built and opened in 1949. We are the birthplace of the famous piña colada, created at our bar in 1954. We were the first hotel in Puerto Rico to have a Starbucks in 2005, and now we are the first hotel in the world to have a Starbucks on the beach.”
Caribe Hilton guests can enjoy everything from Frappuccino’s and refreshers to tea and iced coffee, as well as an array of snacks. Starbucks patrons can now indulge in their favorite temptation, surrounded by ocean breezes, soft sand and Caribbean sunshine.
Centrally located just minutes from the heart of Historic Old San Juan and 15 minutes from Luis Muñoz International Airport, the AAA Four Diamond award-winning Caribe Hilton sits beachfront on an exclusive peninsula, made up of 17 acres of lush tropical gardens.
